With a history of designing high performance waterproofs Mac in a Sac’s parent company Target Dry Ltd wanted to create a high performance jacket in packable form – so Mac in a Sac was born.

The Spen Valley town of Heckmondwike in Yorkshire, UK, is home to outdoor brand TOG24.

Established by Donald Ward in 1958, the former millwright spent years repairing looms before starting up his own business producing footwear. Sports bags and football kits followed not long after. 

2023 sees TOG24 sell waterproofs and fleeces from over 60 outlet stores across Britain and Ireland with a focus on “truth over glory everyday”– the “true” outdoors everybody can be involved with, like walking to the pub.

The brand was named after one of the world's highest active volcanos, Cotopaxi, after Smith spent time living in South America before returning to Utah in 2014.
